NapWise — sleep-science onboarding: most people nap wrong, here’s the science
01 The pitch, up front: most people nap wrong, and the wrong length leaves you groggier than before. NapWise leads with the science instead of hiding it.
NapWise — pick your nap: 10-minute light nap, 26-minute NASA nap, caffeine nap, or custom
02 The home screen. Pick a preset — 10-minute light nap, the 26-minute NASA nap, a caffeine nap, or set your own — choose a wind-down sound, and tap Start Nap. Nothing else in the way.
NapWise — waking gently from a nap with a “Good nap.” screen and alertness exercise
03 The wake-up. A calm “Good nap.” screen instead of a blaring alarm, and a one-tap alertness exercise to clear the last of the grogginess.

The shape of it.

NapWise does one thing: it helps you take a good nap. Pick a duration, optionally drift off to a short wind-down track, and wake to a gradual alarm that lifts you out of light sleep instead of jolting you out of deep sleep. No sleep diaries, no overnight tracking, no feed to scroll.

Most sleep apps treat naps as a footnote buried inside an overnight tracker. NapWise makes the nap the whole product — three taps from opening the app to lying down. The presets (10, 20, and the 26-minute “NASA nap”) are picked to keep you out of the deep sleep that makes a nap feel worse than no nap at all.

It works offline, respects your time, and never asks you to make an account before it’s useful. Everything is included in one subscription with a 7-day free trial — no feature ladders, no ads. Our first app, and a fair test of the whole idea: build one small useful thing properly, and charge a fair price for it.

What’s in it.

  • The NASA nap

A 26-minute preset drawn from NASA’s 1995 fatigue study — long enough to reset, short enough to skip the grogginess.

  • Gradual wake

A crescendo alarm — ambient tones, then melody, then gentle haptics — tuned to pull you out of light sleep, not deep sleep.

  • Caffeine nap mode

Coffee first, then a 20-minute nap. The caffeine lands just as you wake. Roughly four times more effective than coffee alone.

  • No tracking theatre

No overnight monitoring, no wearable required, no social features. Open it, nap, close it.
